Nice work! I really enjoyed reading your retelling of Yusra’s story. You are right, she must have been very brave to flee her country and to help save the lives of 20 people! If she doesn’t win at the Olympics, she deserves a medal for her bravery at the very least!
She didn’t exactly compete at the United Nations, but she did speak there and was appointed as the ‘Goodwill Ambassador’. She is doing lots of great things, I hear they are even going to make a movie about her, how cool is that?
Have you watched the Olympics before? It’s happening this year in Japan, I think I will definitely keep an eye out for Yusra this time.
